Then started to learn steel guitar in Kolkata, with this continued learn­ing sitar from Late Pranabanshu Mukherjee of Kolkata, these continued for more than ten years. Then started to learn violin from famous violin player of Kolkata – Smt. Sisir Kona Dhar Chowdhury. In this mean time learnt tabla from Late Sitanath Das. Per­formed in Door­darshan more than once and local TV channels, participated huge cultural programs. Famous for back ground music in the field of drama. Now, Amitabha Mukhopadhyay with violin is a renowned name.
