The interplay between the sur and kinar sounds are quite interesting.
I received this from Jnan Prakash Ghosh in 1971." - James Baker ****(IMPORTANT) ******The khali section is implied, but not written out. Ti - gherenaage becomes Ti - kerenaake etc. Where you bring the open baya back is essentially stylistic. My current guru (Pdt. Samir Chatterjee) often plays the entire khali section with a closed sound, but Jnan Ghosh brought it back halfway through the palta. Note that Jnan Ghosh did not give an explicit tehai for this (you are supposed to use the theme to make your own) |
