Mewan is a young tabla player born in 1986. He started to learn learn music at five years old with classical flute and percussions in a french national conservatoire before he met his first guru, a tabla player known as Claude Lecart in Rouen, France. In 2003 Mewan became the studient of Anand Kumar from the Punjab gharana, who was the master of his first guru, and himself studient of Alla Rakha. He has accompagnied studients of Sharmila Sharma, a Khatak dancer in Paris. He also plaies with a jazz, gypsy, and world band. contact: mewan.khan@laposte.net
