  • Comments - There is no tabla or dholak here.  This song should be conceptualized more according to the Western "Common time" rather than any Indian tal.  This has implications for determining the tempo.  The electronic percussion on this song gives a strong emphasis on the 8th note.  If we consider this to be the base, then it is eight beats at 180 bpm.  However, the slow dirge-like quality of the song suggests that this is an inappropriate way to consider the rhythm.  The song itself suggests that the more appropriate way to consider this song is of four beats at 90bpm.
